Furness Beekeepers Basic Beekeeping Course

We are repeating the very successful basic beekeeping courses we ran last spring

The course will consist of four one and a half hour sessions commencing March 3rd and March 9th.

The course is illustrated by power point colour slides and participants will be given comprehensive handouts on beekeeping.

The course is open to both members and non-members of FBKA.

There will be a charge of £4.00 per session to cover the cost of the hall,
refreshments and handouts.

The course is timed to coincide with the bees becoming active in Spring and,depending on the weather, will run in tandem with the informal ‘hands on’ lessons at our apiaries in Ulverston and Skelmsmergh.

The course can be used as a foundation to the BBKA basic beekeeping course, so if you want just improve your knowledge of bees and beekeeping or if you would like to take the Basic Beekeeping Examination, we can help you! Whether you have been keeping bees for a short or long time, we can help you!! Go on, give it a go! and its fun!

To find the hall at New Hutton.
Take the A684 Sedbergh road out of Kendal. About 2 miles after the Castle
Hotel look for New Hutton sign at cross roads. (Take care easily missed).
Down hill into New Hutton and the village Hall on right. White building with
car park and telephone box.
